We regularly get together for epic LAN sessions. 5 games played over 16 hours. oobytes join remotely from other states to battle with and against each other.

We're all about getting social
We're all about getting social. oobytes from Australia and New Zealand get together throughout the year for an annual snow trip, mountain biking events and off-roading adventures, just to name a few.

We encourage team members to help us find the best talent in the industry. Successful referrals are rewarded with cash, a mystery weekend away and a donation.

We believe the children (and disruptive tech) are our future. Since the Microsoft Traineeship Program launched in 2019 we are proud to have mentored 25 trainees and have hired 11 graduates.

We like big brains and we cannot lie. oobeU offers over 15,000 courses to choose from so our team can learn everything from technical certifications and advanced data science, to feng shui and knitting (if that's your thing).
Do the right thing
Doing the right thing is part of our DNA. We believe that we have a responsibility to give back to society, to our environment, and within the communities our teams call home. If you’re passionate about a cause or find an opportunity for us to assist our community, chances are you’ll be met with a resounding “Yes!, how can we help?”
Some of the initiatives include:
Each year the team gets together to buy the founders a gift for Christmas, in 2021 we decided to fundraise for UNICEF Australia instead, to help the less fortunate get the vaccine. We raised a total of $3,200 which equals 1,288 vaccines for those in need.
oobytes tend to have big brains, and with big brains come powerful minds - which sometimes need code tweaks. oobe is proud to support Headspace as part of the Push Up Challenge. The guys knocked it out of the park with 25,355 push ups and taking the number 2 spot in the ACT, raising $6,362 for the cause.
We support active causes that are close to those who work for oobe. We will, as often as possible, ensure that oobe supports, promotes and donates to causes championed by the people within oobe.
We support annual activities such as Movember and health driven activities like Spartan that also raise money for great causes. They also get our people out working together and importantly having a good time, while doing some good.
oobe will always support community volunteering by the team. We try our best to provide flexible work arrangements for those who volunteer within our community and will also provide financial support to those who are giving up time to support our communities.
